Blogging Ideas: The Secret to Blogging
Many people are afraid of writing a blog because they believe they have to be an expert writer to do so. I am a firm believer that when you’re passionate about something and put your heart and mind into it, you can do anything you want. When you write about what you know, you will be surprised about how much you can say. The key, is writing about whatever your area of expertise is taking into consideration some basic blogging ideas that I will describe below. However, before I get into that,
Did you know…
- Businesses that blog more than 20 times per month get 5 times more traffic than those who blog less than 4 times
- Companies that blog have 97% more inbound links
Blogging Ideas:
Relevant information- you don’t have to blog about “Rocket science” to make the content relevant. As a matter of fact, you should write about something that is useful and that people feel identified with. When you talk about a “need” that people have or provide useful information or tips, readers will get hooked and you will have interested readers, anxiously waiting to know the subject of you next blog.
Connect with readers- keep in mind that if readers feel identified with what you’re writing, they will connect with you, hence be interested in reading your blog. When blogging, a “non-written” relationship is built between someone that, most likely, you will never meet (reader) and you (writer) who is writing to have people interested in what you have to say.
Empathy- is described as the capacity to recognize emotions that are being experienced by another person. At the end of the day, we are all humans and have a brain but our emotions are also very important. A lot of the times you might write about something without even thinking about the consequences or impact that your blog is having in others. It is always a good idea to take a minute to reflect about the emotions that your readers will have.
Engaging- when your reader is interested in your blog, he/she will become your usual reader. At the same time, he/she will share with other people so your blog will be exposed. “Word of mouth” is always your best recommendation. You want to create a chain reaction so more people are engaged and talking about you.
Talking about you, in this context, is a good thing, I challenge you to write a blog post today; so roll up your sleeves and start writing away.
If you have any blogging ideas, I would like to hear from you so please comment on my post.
