In all my years of marketing different products, I can tell you that the way you market your product or service does matter.

People will believe what you say about your product or service and that’s why it is so important not to let them down.  Be truthful and establish trust right from the start.

I have to admit there are some marketing tricks that a lot of companies use to market their products; however the more honest and transparent you are, the more trust you will get from your consumers or customers. Hence you will have a more loyal audience.

In this world where everyone is trying to get a “piece of the pie” it is crucial that you stand out or differentiate from the “others”. How can you do that? Here are some ideas:

The name of your company says a lot about you and who you are. Choosing the right name for your company is key. Unless your company name is already positioned in the consumer’s mind, you have a chance to introduce yourself to prospect consumers by having a name that will stick to their mind.  One that talks about your product or services.

Your logo is the first impression that your possible leads will encounter. So what you want is for them to like your logo as this will be the first step for them to move on and show more interest in what you’re selling.  It’s like provoking love at first sight between your customers and your logo right from the start.  Give considerable thought to your logo design

Your product/service– if it “markets” well it is more likely to “sell” well. You might offer something that people have the need for or maybe just another alternative from what’s already out there, but once again in order for you to stand out, you need to communicate how you are different from the rest.

Social Media:  Have people talk about your product or service and create a buzz around it. Social media provides the perfect opportunity to do this. The more buzz you create, the more people talk about you, the bigger the awareness will be. You will have to invest in social media to create that first sparkle and update it constantly; however, people will take talk about it as long as they like what you sell. Do not underestimate the power of social media. As a matter of fact, if you do not use social media as part of your Marketing mix, you are one step behind.

Some people believe that “marketing” helps you sell easier, I am one of those believers. “Marketing” gives you the platform to communicate and express why your products or services are better than the competitors.
