Applications for the Boost Your Business Technology grant are currently closed.

Due to a high volume of interest, the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) Boost Your Business Technology grant is fully subscribed and is no longer accepting new applications. If you have a valid CDAP grant agreement, you can continue to work with us and submit your claim for reimbursement once your Digital Plan is complete. Be sure to check when your agreement expires and submit your claim before that date to remain eligible for the grant.

How to Qualify for the CDAP Program

Qualification is easy, the Canadian Government provides and online form. Here are they key qualification requirements for the CDAP Program.

Canadian Corporation or Sole Proprietor

You must be a federally or provincially incorporated business or be a Canadian resident sole proprietor.

Privately Owned, For Profit

You must be a privately owned (not public) business that is for profit.

Less than 499 full time Employees

Less than 499 full time employees or equivalent.

At least $500,000 in Revenue

You must have at least $500,000 in revenue in one of the last 3 years, but not more than $100 million.

How Do I Apply for the Canadian Digital Adoption Program?

Get started on Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s (ISED) website.

Here.

The Government of Canada has 4 main criteria for qualification. They are:
1. Canadian incorporated or a Canadian resident sole proprietor.
2. Privately owned, for profit business.
3. Less than 500 full time employees or equivalent.
4. At least $500,000 in revenue, but no more than $100 million.
Once you are approved by filling out the online form, the Government of Canada will reimburse you for up to 90% of the eligible expenses in preparing a digital adoption plan. You submit your invoices, along with the plan to receive your grant payment.
The Government of Canada provides a digital marketplace and you can work with any of the pre-approved Digital Advisors in the program. iGo Sales and Marketing is an approved Digital Advisor for the CDAP program.
Your Digital Advisor will help you construct a Digital Adoption Plan that includes:

2. Current state analysis
3. Digital adoption analysis and recommendations
4. Implementation roadmap.
Costs associated with retaining a registered CDAP Digital Advisor for the development of a Digital Adoption Plan.

Fees, commissions and charges by approved CDAP Digital Advisors for the production of a Digital Adoption Plan.

Applicable federal and/or provincial sales taxes applied to the fees and commissions charged by approved CDAP Digital Advisors and only for the purpose of producing a Digital Adoption Plan.
Any activities not directly related to the production of a Digital Adoption Plan.

Also, the grant does not include implementation of the plan, only the plan itself.

No, the owner of the business must submit the application.
Typically 2-3 weeks after signed contracts are received the consultation period will begin. The consultation period includes meetings, interviews, strategy sessions and a research and report period which may take 6-8 weeks to complete.
As part of the Boot Your Business Technology grand, organizations can apply for a $7,300 wage subsidy to hire students or recent graduates to help implement the plan.
You are free to hire whomever you like to help consult on implementation of the plan. However, iGo Sales and Marketing would be a great choice as we already know your business from the creation of the plan and are familiar with its goals, objectives and challenges.
